Born in Clairville NB, George Stanley Lyons had a love of nature. As a young entrepreneur he specialized as a butcher, marketing his products locally in Kent and Westmorland counties.

Fishing and hunting were his favorite past times. With the changing of the leaves in November 1959, George Lyons opened his country store. George believed in keeping things country and local whenever he could. They still do.

Lyon’s Country Store and Ultramar will always remain local and country. And always be proud of their roots, heritage and values. And always delivering the best selection, sizing and service. Promoting Canadian-made products as much as possible. Thank you for coming to see us at the end of the trail since 1959.
